         Raft Building Challenge !!

Well on the 14th of february 2022 the Kea team got to do a cool project. The project was to create and test a handmade raft. The reason we were constructing rafts was because when we have our awesome camp, we will be making rafts too. So we decided to make some at school.

First, we got into our groups of 4-5 and went to our assigned classes. The people in my group were: Soni,Ava,Jeff & Henry. Afterwards we brainstormed our idea’s and what materials we will be using. The materials we used was: Straws,Cardboard,Tin foil,Tape & Sticks. After we gathered our materials, we started to attempt building our raft.

Next, while we were building our rafts,we thought of an idea to add two little flags made out of foil and put it in the middle of our raft as decoration. After that we put cut up straws under the raft to float.

Finally, we finished designing our raft,so we took it onto the fake grass area outside of our classrooms to test it out. We were so surprised at how well our raft survived. Even when we were making the water rough in the tub it still stayed intact and didn’t break.

At last, after we tested our raft we went back to class to write our results. Then after that we shared back to the rest of the class about our rafts whether they had sank or floated.

Astronaut Awesomeness !!

Kia ora fellow bloggers so today in distance learning we got give a task for summer learning journey,I was so excited to see all of the fun stuff i can do this summer,Have you done summer learning journey before? If not then you should definitely check it out. Summer learning journey is when its summer you get to join this awesome thing where you get tasks everyday to do in summer if your bored and have nothing to do during the break! & You also get prizes for your hard work! So anyways the task was to do a art coloring book and color the picture it was a NASA theme! I chose to color a Astronaut because astronauts are so cool,Here is what my astronaut looks like:

Kia Ora fellow bloggers, today in class we got given a task and that task was to fill someone's bucket, Filling someone's bucket is saying kind things/showing kindness to someone, You can fill someone's bucket just like doing small things like Doing chores when your not asked to, writing a kind letter & Much more I decided to fill my teachers/staff's bucket by writing a kind note to make them smile, I really enjoyed this task because I love making people happy. Sarah's Healthy Word find !!

Good afternoon fellow blogger today is Wednesday and you know it...... its GTT!! because it is GTT we got give a task set by Mrs Tonga on our class meet and the task was to do/make a word search with Vegetables,Fruits and Kitchen items. I was so excited to create this word search it was a bit challenging but it was definitely fun! it took long but anyways I am going to give it to a family member in my bubble to play it, Here's a photo of what it looks like:

Emotions/Feelings in maori!

Kia Ora fellow bloggers i hope you are doing well in lockdown. Well...today in our class google meet we had our breakout workshops and for our breakout workshops i chose Whaea Sam's breakout and in that breakout we learnt about feelings/emotions in maori.
